This privacy policy explains how Caledonian Auto Salvage ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects the personal information you give us when you request a quote or get in touch. We are the data controller for the information you provide through this website.

When you complete a quote or contact form we collect the details you enter, such as your name, phone number, email address, postcode and your vehicle registration and details. When you call or email us we keep a record of that correspondence. We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address and basic analytics about how the site is used.

We use your information to prepare a scrap car quote, arrange collection of your vehicle, make payment, meet our legal obligations (for example notifying the DVLA and issuing a Certificate of Destruction) and to respond to your enquiries. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Sharing your information

We may share your details with our collection drivers and, where required, with the DVLA and relevant regulators. We use third-party services such as Google Analytics to understand site usage, and a secure payment provider to make payment for your vehicle.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as necessary to provide our service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is securely deleted.
