Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and to the quotes and services provided by Caledonian Auto Salvage. By requesting a quote or selling your vehicle to us, you agree to these terms.

Quotes

Any quote we provide is an estimate based on the information you give us about your vehicle, including its make, model, condition and weight. The final price is confirmed once we have inspected the vehicle on collection or drop-off. Quotes are valid for a reasonable period and may change if the vehicle details differ from those provided.

Vehicle ownership

By selling a vehicle to us you confirm that you are the legal owner of the vehicle, or that you are authorised to sell it, and that it is free of any finance or other claims. You agree to provide the V5C logbook where available and any other paperwork we reasonably require.

Collection, payment & paperwork

Where collection is offered it is provided free of charge within our coverage area. Payment is made by secure bank transfer in line with Scottish scrap metal regulations. We will notify the DVLA that the vehicle has been sold for scrap and, where the vehicle is scrapped, issue a Certificate of Destruction.

Liability

We take care to provide accurate information, but we make no warranty that the website is error-free or always available. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. These terms are governed by the law of Scotland.
